Our home

We live in a bright sunny home in central London, next to a lovely park. It has playgrounds for toddlers and for older children, as well as a sports field, very beautiful flower and rose gardens, lovely woods, and an outdoor opera in the summer. It is in one of the nicest parts of London, with beautiful architecture and buildings.

There are a lot of activities for children in the area - nature classes in the park along with children’s games and sports, and there are children’s play groups and nursery schools all in the area. On the other side of us from the park is the High Street with its cafes and shops, a cinema (very convenient!), buses, the subway station, and the church (five-minute walk). Within a mile are a number of major museums such as the Natural History and Science museums.

Our current home is perfect in size and location for a baby or toddler. In two years time we will move to a big house with a garden - Frances’s parents’ house, an old farmhouse which is surrounded by fields but right on the edge of London. Frances’s parents are downsizing to a cottage next door which they are currently renovating. It will be incredibly convenient to have grandpa and grandma next door, with a large garden and pool for children to play in, to be in the countryside and yet still be so close to London with all its amenities and friends.
